Momentum Wrap-Up Thoughts

Last week on Friday, my husband and I went up to Tulsa, OK to pick up my artwork from the Living Arts Gallery for the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's Momentum Exhibition 2021 (of course it was pouring rain, ha ha!). Being selected as this one of Momentum Spotlight Artists has been a great feat and challenge that has been most rewarding in showing my artwork to others around Oklahoma. There have been so many interviews with news articles, news reporters, podcasts, and of course my art being supported by OVAC and the two galleries my artwork was exhibited at in Norman and Tulsa. It was not easy. This project was a difficult task while working on other projects, working full time at the museum, and healing from COVID-19. I am just so thankful for such a wonderful experience and I been doing my best to document all the sources so I can continue to share those interviews with my followers and future people that may see my art. I have updated my Press section on my home page so anyone can view those previous interviews. Of course, if you would like to see the artworks that were exhibited and experience the spoken language associated with each piece, you can visit my artwork portfolio on my website. If you follow me on social media, you can view the images from the exhibition.

I am a little sad to see the exhibition wrap up since it was so nice to see the artwork in the gallery, but I trust I can exhibit these pieces again in the future! Even though this exhibition is completed, you can still view artwork of mine at the 21c Museum Hotel in downtown OKC. You can call the 21c Museum Hotel and book a tour to view the art. They are my previous art pieces and I have sold one of them all ready, which was very exciting. This exhibit will be up until mid-August. Also, you can come visit me in person soon at the Red Earth Native American Art Festival June 12 & 13 at the Grand Casino Hotel here in Shawnee, OK. I will have a booth and I plan to have new art piece for sale, so you can get your own original artwork!

I would like to thank everyone that has been so supportive of me and my art endeavors this year! I would like to thank my family and close friends for helping me on this journey. I would also like to thank all those that visited the galleries, sharing my artwork, and a big thank you to OVAC and their amazing staff for such an amazing Momentum Exhibition... I only have 3 more years to apply and be a part of Momentum, and I hope I can get a few more chances to share my artwork before I reach my 31st birthday. Again, thank you, and keep an eye out because I don't plan to stop my art making anytime soon.

Amber
